Stay at The Fernie Fox Hotel
After 12 years, its time for a change. The owners of the Super 8 Fernie, Jeremiah and Marina Pauw, have decided to rebrand. Jeremiah and Marina and build their own legacy, the hotel is now the Fernie Fox Hotel. They have owned and operated the hotel property since 2008 under the Super 8 banner, and are now striking out on their own. They have built the reputation of the property over this time and implemented many leading-edge environmental and operational policies and practices (read more about the sustainability efforts HERE). The Fernie Fox Hotel plans to continue to implement new and exciting features to their hotel property and be a leading innovator of the Fernie accommodation sector.
Why the Fernie Fox Hotel?
It was an idea and name that came from the mind of Marina. With Fernie’s growing reputation as an adventure destination, the hotel’s location on Hwy 3 between the base of Mount Fernie, and the banks of the Elk River, and the couple’s focus on creating a welcoming and friendly guest experience, the Fox logo and name seemed like a great fit to emphasize their desire to support the community and nature. And the alliteration is fiendishly fantastic. With many guests coming to stay during their ski holiday and snowmobile vacations in the winter, and hiking, biking, fishing, and golf getaways in the summer, the logo of the Fox elicits the experience of being outdoors in nature. While the name and logo have changed, none of what makes the hotel a great place to stay will. The focus will continue to be on providing the best value stay in Fernie, ensuring all guests feel welcomed, including your furry four-legged family members, a commitment to reducing, reusing, and recycling wherever possible, and being considered a leader in corporate citizenship in the community.
